Heidi Arno has been a member of the San Francisco Orchid Society since 2007 and has served as Membership Chair since 2021.
She has been a regular volunteer at Pacific Orchid Exposition and Orchids in the Park, and has been instrumental in planning and running the Kids Corner at these events.
Heidi became interested in growing orchids while working in a remodeled church. She was delighted to find out that her orchid plants would happily rebloom when their light source was through the stained glass windows. She now grows many windowsill orchids in her home and cymbidiums and dendrobiums outside where she lives in the Central Valley
Retired as an organizational consultant and data analyst, her hobbies also include knitting and genealogy. She is a graduate of San Jose City College, San Jose State University and has an MA in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University in Spokane. Heidi is also a member of the San Joaquin Orchid Society where she serves as newsletter editor.
