Hello fellow orchid lovers,
I’m currently preparing my talk for our April 4th meeting, and I’d love to hear from SF Orchid Society members about things they do in behalf of environmental sustainability.
The purpose of my talk is to not only increase awareness of ecological challenges, but to help us all feel hopeful about the positive things we can do.
Some topics I’m looking at are renewable energy, water conservation, reusing/recycling, composting, minimizing toxic chemical use, biological pest controls, and the carbon footprint of long-distance shipping of supplies. You may also know about other aspects that I’m not aware of.
Would you like to share a photo or short video demonstrating something you do related to sustainability? It could even be something very simple and everyday… or it could be amazingly high-tech.
If so, please email your written info, photos and short videos to me by March 26th at the latest.
Do you have a lot to say about this, and would you be willing to be interviewed by me? If so, please email me as soon as possible so we can schedule a meeting, either in person or by Zoom.
The information, photos and videos will be incorporated into my presentation and will advance everyone’s knowledge of the subject.
