Don't miss the 2014 Gala Benefit Preview Night

Each year the Pacific Orchid Exposition kicks off its annual fundraiser with an electrifying Gala Benefit Preview night.  Set against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay, the 2013 Gala Benefit Preview brought out many local dignitaries and community leaders, including Senator Leeland Yee and the First Lady of San Francisco, Mrs. Anita Lee.

Local celebrity and KPIX personality Liam Mayclem emceed the exclusive soiree, which offered fabulous live music, wine tasting from some of Northern California's premiere wineries, and delicious hors d'oeuvres.  The evening was alive with excitement as the second live auction took place in the center hall featuring lavish prizes like crystal jewelry, a lunch with the Honorable Willie Brown and an exotic trip to Asia provided by Azamara Cruises.

In addition, the Gala Benefit gave attendees the first chance to browse the most beautiful and regal orchids and purchase vendor offerings before the show opened to the general public.   People perused the fanciful orchid inspired art exhibits from several renowned Bay Area artists and bid on many excellent silent auction items, including fine wine, gift certificates, trips, gift baskets and more.

Hosted by the non-profit San Francisco Orchid Society (SFOS), the proceeds from the Gala Benefit Preview night will go to assisting other non-profit horticultural organizations such as the Conservatory of Flowers and the Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture in Golden Gate Park.

The Gala Benefit Preview is really an event to be remembered, an evening of elegance, beauty and excitement.  Don't miss out next year - mark your calendars now for the 2014 Gala Benefit Preview, February 20th from 6:30-10:00pm at Fort Mason Center's Festival Pavilion.
